We are four international students on a journey to understanding workplace harassment through conversations with specialists, activists and each other. Unpacking sexual harassment in the workplace

We kick off the podcast with Tammy Cho, Co-Founder and CEO of BetterBrave. We discuss a wide range of topics starting from definition of sexual harassment in the workplace differences across industries, stats, power dynamics, and reasons that workplace harassment is not only a female issue. Tammy invites us to take little steps to combat sexual harassment in the workplace.

Why we’re doing the company a service by reporting
Guest: Jean Hyams, Civil Rights Attorney & Co-hosts: Ellie and Phuong
In this episode we meet with civil rights lawyer, Jean Hyams, to discuss victims’ rights, company’s rights, and aggressor’s rights. As she walks us through the internal company and legal reporting processes, Attorney Hyams drives home the reality of potential retaliation or continued harassment, but also shares that such reactions are completely illegal, and most of the time, easier to litigate against than sexual harassment itself. Reclaiming your power when recovering from ‘crimes conducted in secret’
Guest: Ilana Giannini, Group Therapies Program Director at Wright Institute Los Angeles & Co-hosts: Aliia and Gabriela
Ilana Giannini worked as a writer on the film industry for 20 years and now she is the Group Therapies Program Director at Wright Institute Los Angeles. Ilana shares her own struggles in the film industry as a victim of sexual harassment. As a therapist, she identifies common emotional difficulties related to workplace harassment and ways we can overcome them. Through the episode, she empowers individuals to start talking about sexual harassment as a way to combat these “crimes committed in secret”.
